2023 Men's Retreat

What is the name, address and how far is the retreat?

When is the retreat and how many days? Cost? Minimum needed?

Starts Friday September 16, 6pm thru Sunday, September 18, 2023 10:30am. Cost is $110.00 per person. Minimum is 25. Scholarships are available.

 

When do we need to turn in money and to who? Is there financial aid available?

 We prefer you go onto RPAC website and find the Men’s Retreat in events and sign-up and pay online, but you can also turn to Jeff Larson cash or check made out to RPAC, in memo line put Men’s Retreat. 

 

What does the price include?

It includes 3 days, 2 night stay, breakfast, lunch, dinner & dessert provided. No snacks or drinks provided outside daily food scheduled times. You can bring your own snacks and drinks.

 

What is the daily food schedule? Menu?

Breakfast is at 8am, lunch is at noon and dinner is at 6pm.The food is American home cooked food with Vegetarian options.

 

Is there dinner served on Friday? How early can I arrive on Friday?

Yes, dinner is at 6pm sharp on Friday. You may arrive at 4:00pm to check in.

 

What items do I need to bring?

You’ll need to bring personnel grooming items, bath towels, twin sheets, pillow and sleeping bag. Bring sunblock, cooler for water and fishing gear. (We are having a fishing tournament but will have a few extra fishing poles).

 

How many does each cabin sleep?

Each cabin sleeps up to 6 people and yes there is A/C in the rooms.

 

How will sleeping arrangements be scheduled?

Sleeping arrangements will be random. We’ll talk about more at Men’s breakfast. But we’d like everyone to choose 1 roommate and be roomed with guys you don’t know very well so you can get to know each other.

 

What are the activities are included?

Activities include outside basketball, sand volleyball, corn hole, horseshoes, game room (carpet ball, ping pong, & foosball) and campfire pit. If you like you can rent fishing gear, but this needs to be communicated ahead of time.

 

Can we go off campus?

Yes, of course.  There is a State Park and Lake Tawakoni minutes away.

 

Will there be other ministries there on our visit?

No, so far just us.
